The brand new exhibition space Galerie Waaw is situated in the southern part of the island, 1 km from the Waaw residence. It is a former shop on the ground floor of a typical Saint-Louis 19th century house, consisting of one symmetrical room with the dimensions 8 x 3.5 x 3.5 m, with a door onto a rather quiet street. The walls have been treated with lime wash and are therefore uneven in colour. The space will be furnished with a simple hook hanging system and moveable led spotlights. Galerie Waaw can be booked for exhibitions and art events, for a fee covering costs for rent, electricity and an attendant. Resident artists at Waaw have priority. Please contact us for details.
